Five-Dimensional Straw Utilization Model and Its Impact on Carbon Emission Reduction in China

Enormous quantities of straw in China are burnt open fields or discarded randomly, leading to a serious waste biomass resources and environmental pollution. To accelerate sustainable development, must be used efficiently reduce carbon emissions. Based on systematic literature review, this study summarizes China’s latest development utilization. It analyzes the accounting methods, emission reduction effects potential The highlights that utilization can categorized into five-dimensional models (FDSUM). cost collection, storage transportation, technology main factors affecting FDSUM contributes greatly agricultural reduction. Straw-to-fertilizer has highest contribution, straw-to-fuel largest potential. from straw–to-fuel 2020 was 63.43 × 109 kg CO2.
